That was a completely different world. :-(

All the local Navy bases were the next best thing to open air parks.

Who would dare cause a problem?
For the few random drunks that did, it went very bad for them very quickly.

Now all the grounds have fences and the fences have dual reinforced cables to prevent driving through the fences and
1 way barricades and some gates have Jersey barriers placed everywhere.

Blue paint lines in the road marking Navy base property lines.
(We can shoot you and not 'care' at all. :) )

We have red lines. Cross and don't stop we'll make sure you did.

Did some yard work today and planted a few seeds. Read a book in the sun. It was nice.

I have some time off coming up at Easter. I need to get my yard in some sort of shape. It is a mess. My wife can't really work in the yard anymore and I get overwhelmed taking care of mine and my mom's. I never have the energy to do much to mine anymore. We used to have a pretty neat back yard. But not anymore. This used to be the view from our patio.. A little weird, I know - but it is me we are talking about. :-)

My wife can't really work in the yard anymore and I get overwhelmed taking care of mine and my mom's. I never have the energy to do much to mine anymore. We used to have a pretty neat back yard. Thanks. Wasn't my motivation though and it may have even been before the show. Always had a thing for tikis. I have four concrete statues, all made by this lady in Jacksonville, FL.

Yes. It was a huge flower pot that I turned into a DIY fountain with a red halogen lamp in the bottom of it.
