Brand New 8 gallon bio cube

I made my own for my 140. They were "hybrids," made from window screen frame, eggcrate, gutter guard and 1/4" mesh. I had over the edge tank plumbing, so I couldn't just use the screen framing. I thought they came out pretty good. Painted them black to match the eggcrate.

DIY on your own. @dantimdad got some material, or an idea, from someone and has incorporated it. Maybe he'll chime in but, who knows, now that he's no longer in charge!

Maybe it was Simon (@ca1ore ) who made the DIY cover.

I got the screen from Simon. I 3d printed the corners and got the aluminum frame from lowes.

I messed up and have to go get another piece of frame to finish it tomorrow. I will post pics.

@Hemmdog let me know if you want corners printed.

I will be ordering a screen cover today... lol. This was the last straw.

I just did

a DIY screen cover using a home depot aluminum frame kit and a clear aquarium mesh. It was about $20 and an hour of work. I have about 4ftx5ft of the clear screen left over if you want to do your own I can send it to you.
