Brand New 8 gallon bio cube

It is humid as heck here in NY and supposed to jump to 85 today. I wore my winter coat last week, LOL. I remember when we used to have spring. For the past few years it goes from winter right to summer.
We have 3 seasons down here. Hot, cool, and wet. They all might happen in the same month.

May to early October is 90+ every day. Air is like breathing pea soup, and everything is soaked in the morning, but it never rains. Unless there is a thunderstorm in the afternoon, which only makes it hotter after it quits raining.

November is 70s and usually very pleasant.

December thru March could be 60 or it could be 30. Nobody knows, not even the weather man. You can guarantee it'll rain tho.

April, is like November, but with rain and wind.

As a 40+ female, I can have a summer day any time of the year. I even drip sweat in -11 sometimes at work.
Sexy. Sometimes I miss San Francisco which is roughly 65 and breezy year round.

@Robin Haselden I agree with you. Seen many serious storms including the historically bad ones in the 70's. I do remember it raining fish. The smell was horrible afterwards, but the grass was the greenest I ever remember. My son still thinks I'm joking about it raining fish. I'd love to have a video of it happening.

My girlfriend every night... "Turn the fan on it's too hot to sleep in here" as I'm freezing to death...

My girlfriend every day... "Can you hand me that blanket I'm freezing" as I'm sweating from working outside.

I swear y'alls thermostats are broke.

My wife was no better. She would not let me turn on the AC in May even if it was 100*. She would say, " I am not running the AC in May!" as if it was based on time and not temperature,

I believe I remember hearing something about raining fish from a few different places. Tornado goes near or over a lake or pond and sucks everything up.

I've been thru ever major hurricane that has hit the south east since the 80s, including Hugo in 89 that put us out of power for 3 weeks. The whole electric grid was demolished. The wind is strong, but it comes from one direction.

I still would rather go thru that than a tornado. The wind seems to come from everywhere all at once and changes dirrections quicker than it should. The sound is just horrifying and the wind damage is incredible. I've only been thru one, and it was very mild but the trees. Laid over in all kinds of dirrections.

I have a friend like that too. She's older. I want to be comfortable year round. Yes, I'm spoiled.

Ha! My inability to understand her logic is why I am alone now, but at least I am nice and cool.

An ex I used to live with would not switch the thermostat back and forth. Once she decided it was time for AC, she would not switch it back to heat or vise versa. Even tho we have some pretty drastic temperature swings in the spring and fall. It could be 30 in the morning and 80 in the afternoon. Or 80s one week, and 50s the next.

LOL. Feeling your ex-pain, brother!
