No, there’s just too much collective knowledge being shared on this thread.

I have learned more from this thread than anywhere else.

You have such a solid mix of highly experienced reefers, those with a lot of success, and other noobies like myself.

Best place to get advice/learn on this site.

Shoot, I remember! You have the wicked Goni. That thing is beautiful man.
Killer rockscape as well.
Thank you sir!! That Goni has almost managed to turn me into an actual reefer. Tbh I felt like I was fumbling blindly in the dark and got lucky with a lot of decisions I made early on...like the Tree of Life. (My rockscape got a name too!).

0145, officially done. Dash back together, coolant filled and burped, heat blowing out vents and no leaks.

Only a 13 hour job...

@living_tribunal 2.5/10 lol

it’s an old acrylic tank with a MH bulb, all scratched up. Cheap corals because I thought I would kill everything. Just wanted to get my feet wet and learn! Of course, now I’m addicted and there’s no turning back :)

I didn’t do any of that. I just gave them 80lbs of dry rock.

You should get that killer $60 hob skimmer on Amazon.

When I didn’t have a sump, I looked everywhere to find a decent hob skimmer. That was the only one I could find with good reviews.
Meh, skimmers. Seems redundant to put stuff in my water only to take it back out again...I want my corals to have it all!

I really like your rockscape, it looks like an undersea mountain range! 80lbs in a 55g is a great amount imo, especially with a sump to make up for lost water volume. (I have about 35 lbs I think, in a 28g tank with 20lbs live sand)
