Hello and good evening/morning/afternoon to anyone reading and replying to this :D! I am Kear and I am excited to make my journey into the saltwater aquarium hobby! I am very diverse in multiple hobbies and interests (check out my bio) but I need something to help slow me down and force me to be patient! I have always been interested in keeping a saltwater tank and I finally found myself in the headspace and can finally delve into it! especially as an adult now, could not do much as a kid lol.

I am excited to learn and grow as a person and in this hobby and I hope I can be a good fit into this community. I appreciate anyone who is willing to help out and I am so stoked to see all the reef pics! I always love aquariums! my favorite aquarium was the one in Toronto Canada (Ripley's aquarium of Toronto).

Current plans for my tank are as follows:
- 40gal breeder long

- Caribsea live sand

- real reef solutions live rock

- RO-DI system: 4 stage value ro-di system

- Pro reef sea salt

- Protein Skimmer: Tunze comline doc skimmer 9004 DC

- CUC: Snails, hermits, shrimps and a sand sifter goby.

-2 Koralia Third Gen Powerhead for my wave maker

- Titanium 100 watt heater

-Eheim 75 HOB power filter for water clarity.

- AI primes aquaillumination lights or if I can find the right bar light to go across the whole tank would be better. But the ability to change my lights and perfect it for my corals I want to add in the future sounds like a good deal.

- Debating on a Refugium,

Fish plans: Clownfish Pair, Royal Gramma, A shrimp goby pair. Might revise though lol.

Anyways, thank you!

Howdy howdy. A 40 breeder is an excellent choice for a first reef tank. Great choice. And patience you will learn. Only bad things happen fast. Have fun and enjoy the process. Reef keeping is good for the mind and soul. This site is great with so many helpful and encouraging folks and information.

Welcome to Reef2Reef! Be sure to read the guide below! This will help establish some basic knowledge of reefkeeping!
