After going to macna and hearing all the breeders talking I wanna actually build something of a breeder setup for the cardinals that I'm breeding. Can I get some of u to post pictures of your setups for inspiration?

For whatever reason it seems that there's a lot of hobbyist breeding marine fish but their usually not too forth coming with information for beginners just starting out. I've even gone on MOFIB and the information there just isn't easy to find for whatever reason... Anyways ill start this thread out with a picture of my cardinal's grow out tanks, really basic, 10g tank with hood/light, I put a little piece of rock in there for pods to hide out. The tank has a cartridge filter along with an air stone for extra oxygen. And the little heater that fits the tank. I've had quite a few problems with this set up long term. That's why I'm looking to change it up.

Here two in my 210g reef tank (making sure they were capable of living in normal tank before selling them to fellow reefers)

Note: the mangroves were taken out after a few months because the leaves were dirty up the water and they were getting my way.

Thanks, the ones that i posted were from my 1st and 2nd clutches of eggs. After the male began holding the second batch i moved into my new home, lost a lot, then i moved my pair from my sps tank, and into a 10gallon tank that way i could separate the male after he released the second batch. Well shortly after the male died, so i only had the female. Well finally i found another fish that the female would pair up with... So im starting to breed again, this time with 3 pairs of cardinals. Im also trying my hand at clowns, and neon gobies.

Here is a video of my barn that I have turned into a breeding setup. I have mostly clownfish but I have some dottybacks and cardinals also. Still waiting for some spawns since it has only been set up for about 3 months.

I just got a pair of sebae clowns 2 weeks ago today. They just spent the last 4 hours filling a rock with eggs. It's not really a set up but they are in a 55 gal with a huge carpet and a couple other fish and some crabs. I'll keep up with the thread so I can get some ideas.

This is a perfectly timed thread for me as well, My gold band maroon clowns are spawning about 1-2 times a month now and I am going to try and raise the babies since my female is a PNG misbar that I have had for a while and think people may want the babies, Or atleast I can trade them to the LFS for store credit for things that I need

I also am going to try my hands at breeding banghai cardinals since I always loved them and I feel there needs to be more captive bred specimens in the hobby to help alleviate the dwindling wild populations
