Breeding for the aquarium hobby?

Clownfish population went down as soon as the finding Nemo movie came out but with all of this captive breeding and new types of clowns their population seems fine to me but the Bangi cardinals are endangered and I feel that they are more hardy then clowns and could breed easier.
