I like to buy a pair and add them to their display together. The little female has probably established a territory by now and adding a little larger potter might be problematic. It would be best to remove her, place her in another tank (QT tank without meds) and QT the new, larger potter and add them to display at the same time. That way there are no territories established and you kind of start from an even playing field. My male was 3" and my female was 2". They paired up instantly without any aggression.
Thanks Candyman I'll do just that . Will let you the results.

These are my favorite angelfish as well! This is something I've wanted to do for a long time - you should for sure post more photos of your egg collection setup and all that. Do you think this is something that's possible with angelfish in a reef? I've got two potters angelfish that I'd love to actually spawn - I've seen them dancing up towards the surface in evenings but I've never seen eggs.

What are you feeding the larvae? ‘ would be nice to see your methods.
Parvocalanus crass. copepods
Do you have any update on this project?

No new updates. I got to 31 dph with these guys back in the summer.

I will be starting trials back up again in February.

Stay tuned.

Thanks for sharing. Did you resume your trials?

Great question. Yes.

I took a break as my tanks were in winter mode (no spawning).
They are now out of winder mode and my angels are spawning again.

I just started a really big mixed batch of potters and multibar angelfish. Stay tuned. I plan to post updates as this trial progresses.
