That is a ton of great coral additions to your tank!

I added some more XR15s to try to get better coverage. Because of the way the CADE tanks have their ATO reservoir at the back, my one row of 4 XR15s was sort of to the back. Now with these rail mounts and more lights, I can move them forward to try to hit stuff from more angles.

IMG_4227.jpeg

Now I can hit absurd PAR numbers. I can hit almost 500 as some spots on the sand. I have it dialed way back, but I have options if I want to ramp it up some.

IMG_4228.jpeg

Tried to tidy up the pile of power bricks too. I really wish we could get one big power supply instead of 8.

Continue to fight back dinos and GHA. UV, silica dosing, and blasting off the rocks for the dinos. Adding herbivores and manual removal for the GHA. Progress is slow, but seems to be moving forward. Now that the dinos are mostly gone, snails seem to be surviving better.

Full tank 5 days ago:

More work to do, but getting there.

A pic with all 13 fish:

The Slimeball that lived. It was almost dead looking, but it's maybe hanging in there.

Until a few weeks ago, all of my snails and limpets were dying. Yesterday and today I've seen a ton of what I think are baby snails and limpets coming back. There are so many of them. Here are a few.

looks great but i think you jumped the gun on acropora in a brand new tank.
What do you consider "brand new"? I think it was a little over a year old when I put them in. Given that they didn't make it though, you're probably right that it was a bad idea. But how do you know if acropora can live in your tank without putting acropora in your tank?

Oh my bad. I don't think I read your posts thoroughly. A year is perfect. I thought you added them in with your first corals. lol

Im at the year mark and am trying some acros. So far so good, but I am getting fluctuations in PO4 so I am not expecting the world. Luckily they were cheaper frags.

My dinos and GHA all seem to be gone. Not sure why, but I'll take it. Coraline algae is forming in little spots all over the place. In a few months, maybe I'll have pretty good coverage.

I have a lot of aiptasia, and they're getting worse. F Aiptasia sort of works, but it's hard to cover ones that are on the sides of rocks or under them. I added some small berghia, so we'll see how that goes in the coming months.

I'm finally starting to have some luck with acropora and other SPS.

The colors on these pics are pretty wonky in some cases...

Bubble Gum Digi. The bit at the end where it's getting wider is all new growth. Been in the tank about a month.

Unicorn Bubble Bath (I think). Polyps are out and pretty happy. Added 1 month ago.

r2r_2025_07_18-IMG_6184.jpg

I have no idea what this is. It's kinda chunky, so I call it Big Chungus. Also added a month ago.

r2r_2025_07_18-IMG_6181.jpg

These last few were added a week ago. Immortal Tort and Green Slimer. Starting to see some polyp extension on the tort and some of the colors:

Lastly the slime ball I've have for a lot of months. It was looking pretty rough about a month ago. It had a big spot of dead tissue, but it's pretty much all grown back now.
