Bright Orange Corallimorph: strange shape change

I am new to Corallimorphs. Got one here: https://www.oasiscoral.com.au/products/bright-orange-corallimorph-single-morph = very happy with the vendor, shipping and everything very well done. It did well at the beginning...it seemed to grow, etc. Initially, it was essentially one more or less round structure. The torch nearby had been there the whole time.

Now, it has changed shape, maybe split, or been damaged by a snail or urchin. Do you have any suggestions based on the not-so-great images below?

if you bought 1, and now have 2- i would say its very likely it recently split and is just trying to get a hold on the plug again.
