Are these just normal Bristleworms? Or something else I need to worry about? The one looked like it had a forked tail

I got some Live rock and sand from TBS and these popped out tonight. They were on the glass and a couple were swimming around.

Thank you!

From what I can make out in the pictures, nothing I’d worry about. One looks like a generic, standard bristle worm and the other looks like another likely harmless (but different kind) of polychaete; having seen similar in my own tank and other posts. Sometimes I’d say that resembles a Dorvellidae but I can’t see it too well in the picture; so bristle worm is fine 😅

Not bristle worms. Standard model Bristles have no antennas/mandibles whatsoever.

This might be some type of Eunice worm, just not sure which one. I’ll try to did some more research. Maybe post a pic of one closer?

Thank you. I'll see if I can get some better pictures. I'd be ok to leave them if I knew they were just harmless, but if not 100% sure, I'll just take them out

I would say Dorvilleidae, so yes it's a bristle worm (polychaete), but Eunice worms and Bearded fireworms are also bristle worms so that alone doesn't make it good or bad. A Dorvilleidae should be fine though.

Now that I have my brightness on my phone up they all kinda look the same 😅. I couldn’t really make out the ones in the edge of the cup. But yea dorvellidae would be a type of Eunice worm but still not a bother imo.

Also, if there's any doubt or worry, don’t return the ones you have out 😅 while you have them.

I've got much to learn! Thank you!
