Brittle Star Ate My Nem

Ok Just like the Title Said my BTA Got ripped out of its Acclimation Cup by my star (did not know they did this) and now about 50% of it is gone. The Foot is tore up Fairly well on one side I have him in a cup in the tank for now but it is supper deflated and the Tentacles are very flaccid. what are the chances that it will make it?? have only had him for about a month it was approximately 3-4" around now about 1-2". pict was taken last week

its looking a little better today. can a nem survive without a mouth?? It hasn't fused back together so I cant tell yet?
