Brittle Star

I just got this anemone today I noticed a brutal star on its rock I’ve never had a brittle star problem before and this is the only one I can see I took it out do you think there’s more and if so, what precautions should I take?

What type of brittle star is it and why do you think it’s bad ? Do you have a picture?

I call it a good find. They scavenge and offering a few sinking pellets and small pieces of meat such as shrimp, mysis and mussel will satisfy its diet

I call it a good find. They scavenge and offering a few sinking pellets and small pieces of meat such as shrimp, mysis and mussel will satisfy its diet
I thought they were bad
I thought they multiply and take over the tank

No that’s a Astrea Star , I would take it out . And just pull them out when you see them . They won’t reproduce that fast and this one might be the only one

Ahhh I’m a buffoon I mixed up the names silly me but I think hopefully he might be the only one and I got him out quick

Yes they are- this is An asterina and a huge pest
I brought in coral which I did not see them but gave me an infestation
I remove them daily
