So I upgraded my tank from a 29g display 20g sump to a 55g display 20g sump and the brittle who lives in the sump I noticed has what seems like a bubble on its head. Its squishy to the touch and is about the side of its entire head. I'm not sure if its just super full of food which I doubt it if something is happening to it.

Hmmmm..... I saw a thread on another forum once about a brittle star that ate their clown fish! He was vary fat after... but he wasn't perfectly round. I'm not a big expert on brittle stars but do they get swollen when physically hurt or maybe he is bloated? Like I said, I'm not an expert. Just trying to help

he lives in the sump so he couldnt of ate a fish :\

Very curious if the reason he is like this is because I upgraded the tank last night so this would be the first day in the new tank

So it's new to this tank?

yeah well kind of... the sump and everything in it was taken right from my 29g. I drained it low then moved it to the new tank stand then added the water back. All except for about 5g of water from the old display was added to the new setup. The salinity is kept at 1.025 and temp at 78. All of the other inverts are fine same with fish and corals.

I didn't think of this... When I moved him I put him over into the first chamber of the sump where a lot of stuff has built up... I notice a lot of it is gone so maybe he is actually bloated from eating all of that junk off the bottom :o

They move things around inside themselves after eating. It's creepy as hell. This is mine after he successfully defended a piece of scallop against my dottyback.
