Would a broken impeller magnet cause a die off in a mostly sps reef?
I had a the magnet part of the impeller break in half, maybe I replaced the pump after a day, possibly 2 days. I don't remember how long it took me to replace the broken pump, but it wasn't long.
So basically I am enduring some SPS die off, and I am wondering if that could be a possible cause.
Parameters are always stable.

Wouldn't think that would do that.

What's your parameters?
How old is the tank?
What size tank?
Dosing anything?
What lights are you using?
Dip corals?

Not fast. Cupper and al can leach to water but it would take long time for the effects not an overnight thing.
Give us as much details as you can so we understand your system.
Pictures won't hurt either.
