This brown branchlike thing comes out from the side of my frag only when the light is out. It pulls it's branches when the light is turned on. Ideas?

Mouth end of a sea cucumber perhaps? Any chance at a clearer picture?

Is it going to get out of that coral on its own? I heard they can poison the tank when they die- should I be concerned now?
It's a small Filter Feeding species, I do not think it's poisonous and yes it will get out of the hole out of it own, When it grows it finds a new rock to bore into.

It turned out to be a cucumber... I kept it in revive for very long with the coral, as someone from the lfs was so sure it's a bobbit worm. I ended up throwing it out, not wanting to risk it dying in the tank, and also almost killing my coral by accident. I learned my lesson to trust my gut and listen to you guys. Thanks though for all your help
