Reef Crystals is well known for having a brown slime when first mixed, but I wouldn't expect that is what is being seen in the tank in this case, unless the salt is being mixed in the tank.

I’m having the same problem. I have 4 aquariums and only 1 has the issue. I use Tropic Marin salt and mix the day before the water changes. I have a 6 stage RODI. Reading 0. Changed my filters last month hoping this would fix it but still have it in 1 tank. Any suggestions?

Can you clarify exactly what problem you are having?
