Brown jelly on goniopora! Help!

So I noticed brown jelly on my Goniopora yesterday. I had removed it immediately but it's back today. How can I treat my gorgeous Goni? This is my first experience with brown jelly.

Oh man, I had the same problem and it died in a week. It was the green one too.

How long have you had the goniopora?

You can take it out and treat it with eurithromycin. Soak for 2-4 hrs. Do this a few times a week. I have had success treating lps, although, not gonis.

I've had this one for 35 days.

I have another red Goni that I've had for over a year and a half that hasn't opened in over a week but doesn't show any visible signs of jelly yet.

From what I've read when mine was going thru this... The green are nearly impossible to keep and 90% of the time they come from the wild. Mine died in a month as well. I tried to soak in iodine and I also took and split the piece in half trying to save it and still died!

I was unaware of the green Goniopora mortality rate.[emoji17]
My fault for making an assumption for Ive had great success with my red Goni.

I mainly have Lps in my 150. I'm worried they as well will become infected.

Did you have to qt all your Lps?

No I didn't, just my Goni was infected. I would def increase your skimming and carbon if you have it just in case. If it gets worse I would honestly just toss it because no matter what I did it just died.

I did qt at my lps after. I had more than 1 infected tho.

I did another large water change and it appears the brown jelly has receded substantially. I hope he pulls through.
