What are these brown spots on this hammer? I have two of them and only one has this issue.

Parameters?
What about the rest of your tank, does it look fine?

Do they look like little spiral tubes? Probably vermetid snails. If they are you can scrape them off, crush them, or superglue the ends of the tubes.

Tank is 4 months old 150 gallon with 40 gallon sump. Got my ICP results back the other day and almost everything was inline. CA was a little low (the drop on the chart was a re-calbration of the Triton) so been dosing that along with ALK to get it back in the 8.5 range. The spots were on the coral prior to these adjustments.

All in all the coral and fish in the tank seem happy. My guy says he dipped these corals but I didn't witness this. Should I ask him to treat this hammer again?
