So, I have this 16 gallon nano saltwater tank which I had setup recently ( 2 months ago, almost). After 1 month of cycling and the 2 ppm NH3 stress test , I added some livestock :

2 turbo snails
1 camel shrimp
1 porcelain anemone crab
1 brittle star
1 green bta

Everyone was doing fine until recently ( the bta even seems to have grown in size).

3 days ago, my camel shrimp molted. It seemed fine. Unfortunately, I found it lying dead on the sand today. I assumed it was due to post molt stress. However , suddenly I noticed these brown spots on my porcelain anemone crab, which were not present when I got it. The crab seems to behave normally.

The water paramenters have been quite consistent over the past few days

Sp gravity : 1.023
NH4+/NH3 : 0 to 0.25 ( API)
Nitrite: 0.025 ppm (Salifert)
Nitrate: 25 ppm ( might be a little more) (Salifert)

Are these spots natural or is there something to worry about ?

Keep an eye on this as it may be getting ready to molt bringing about these spots
