Sometimes low nitrates and phosphates are the problem. I’d check that out.

Yes we’ve been struggling trying to get our nitrates up. Have tried a few natural ways but still close to 0 so I bought some stuff to add to the water. Our phosphates have been a little high so we got a media filter and it’s close to 0 now...but I thought that’s what it should be?? No? It looks like Bryrosis from pics I’ve seen :/

zero no3 n po4 are the main cause of the dino to out break. your po4 was zero, better raise it a little, i keep mine on 0.05ppm, and 5ppm no3.

I have not read all of the comments, but just wanted to give this document out. It should help with identifying specific types of dinos and treatments. You do not need to have a microscope for this to be useful. There are text descriptions, etc. too.
