My Montipora is growing and happy at the tips but it’s turning brown and there is no polyp extension at the base. It doesn’t look bleached, there is just no polyp extension. Thoughts? The water parameters have been seemingly stable.

Colony formation is very deformed. How long has it been in that exact position? What lights are being used?

Mine wont have any polyp extension on the underside but will go crazy on top where its getting high light. On your first pic, the branch on the left looks like its having that issue where it should be getting lots of light so im considering maybe thats not the issue. What are you running your DKH at? How much par (or if you dont know that type of lights and % they are at)? And how much flow are they getting? Also where do you keep your nutrient levels at? How long have they been in the tank for? Looks like they havnt started to encrust yet so it might just be adjusting too.

I love the color on that piece btw
