For the price, they are hard to beat. Can be noisier than other skimmer but they always pulled out lots of gunk for me. I have used their CO-1 and RC-3.
This. I've been using aquamaxx since the Marine Depot days (it was their house brand). The skimmers do the job, Id take aquamaxx over the ice cap skimmers any day.

I run a CO-2 and a RC-2, both skim great but the RC-2 is MUCH louder. I’ve run the CO-2 for over 3 years. This is 3 days worth of work

Didn't see anyone post anything actually answering, so here ya go. Aquamaxx is rebranded as AquaReady, same products but new name. At the same time, Aperture bought it. Aquamax has been running under BRS/Aperture for awhile and if you scroll to the bottom of the Aquamaxx website, you can see that for help you email BRS.

Aperture announced the launch of the AquaReady brand in February in a press release.

They likely spend months creating stock of the products with the new name. The items with the Aquamaxx brand are now being sold to clear the inventory with the old bran. By clearing it, it will allow them to sell the same items under the new brand with their new mark ups.

Few notable changes...

HOB 1.5- Aquamaxx Price $239.99; AquaReady Price $264.99
NF 1 Nano- Aquamaxx Price $109.99; AquaReady Price $124.99
FR-S Internal Reactor - Aquamaxx Price $69.99; AquaReady Price $76.99

This goes back to a prior post about we have an illusion of choice and market competition when in reality most of are products are owned under a few corporate umbrellas.

BRS has all aquamaxx items on clearance along with items being discontinued. Is aquamaxx going under? or is brs just done with aquamaxx?
If you go to the aquamaxx website and go to contact us, it’s the brs email . Brs handles all the warranties too. Not matter where you buy it. Seems like brs was possibly going to take it over or become partners with them? Not sure.

Aquamaxx was the Marine Depot house brand that transferred to BRS when BRS (Aperture) bought Marine Depot.

Never had issue with aquamaxx reactor or calcium reactor no leaks ever.

Freshwater filter only or is it? Have you ever used an HOB filter on a saltwater tank?
