I know this Mod has been around for sometime, but I put a little twist on it. This is the way I attacked get the flow going on this bio-pellet Mod. I used 3/4" PVC Round Mesh from Jo-annes fabrics or Micheals which ever hobby store you have. I reversed the input and output and created more of a pressurized tumbled which works. I tried the cone version but for somke reason didn't get the flow I wanted.

Heated up the ends on both side one at a time

The other end I basically just sqeezed the ends to make it look like a return sprout

Running a MJ1200 but I think you could get away with a MJ900 if you have one

Just an Update on this since I've modded it. It's still kicking and has not clogged at all, so if your in the market to Mod your BRS Bio-Pellet reactor, it's simple and easy to do. :)

I'm planning on using a bio pellet reactor, what is the use of it over a refugium?

I use my Refugium to grow Pods only, But I can't keep no Cheato in it for the life me since the Bio-pellets keep your Phosphates low along with your Nitrates. If you start out on Bio-pellets I would start slow and add half of the recommened pellets as the package says to add.

if your going to mod it the way you showed could you not just use a reagular BRS reactor like the gfo and carbon reactor combo everyone has sitting around? you can take them apart to have a single reactor

Yes.. You can do this with the older Carbon and GFO reactors that you have sitting around all you got to do is put the input and output in reverse so that the water flows down the PVC pipe...
