I am curious if anyone has had to get a replacement item from BRS due to an item being defective. If so did you have to return your item for testing prior to getting a replacement? They are requesting I do this and I am curious if this is common practice.

they are probably seeing if the defect can be repaired. Hard to tell without know what the defective item is and what is defective

I have had a couple shipment from BRS that broke in shipping. So I contacted them and they had me send them pictures of the damage. Then they would have a new item shiped out the sameday. I have had a great experience with there customer service. Hope it all works out for you
