What kind of light are you working with
It’s a marineland advanced led strip light, it’s supposed to be the right wavelengths for coral. The clerk at my lps recommended it for me but looking back I wish I would have got a better light off amazon.

Hey Bryson, I'm getting ready as well to start my 55. Are you making your own water?

Awesome!

I’m currently only using an water softener without an ro/di. However, I will likely get one in the future even though my tank is doing well w/o one.

Im currently using instant ocean reef crystals for salt.

a couple of black boxes off of amazon would work much better and still stay affordable.
I agree, I was looking at viparspectra black boxes for awhile. I’m going to add t5 fixture before adding harder corals.

I’m also using a t8 fixture along with the marineland strip light.
