BTA anemone does not seem happy

Can anyone tell me what may be going on? The anemone seems to be "disintegrating", shedding white globules into the water and is much smaller than he used to be. What could cause this?

Now he has completely "deflated". Is this a sign of stress or something else?

Did you recently feed it? This deflating happens like a water change so it is okay. But if it consistently happens nightly then your BTA has a bacterial infection and needs to be treated (sticky in forum from Amoo).

Another possibility is that the dry rock you added to the base of your main display is causing the tank to go through another mini cycle. Check for ammonia.

Not sure which sticky you're referring to, the only one I see is in regards to not feeding and the QT thread.

No, I don't specifically feed the BTA. I dose Reef Roids and Reef Energy plus. Sometimes I have target fed the BTA the Reef Roids, but not a ton.

Basically every night now he's deflating and spitting out white "globules".

Are these white globules toxic to the tank?

Sorry, with the position he is in the tank, it's hard to get a good picture, but I wouldn't say he's bleached.

This is what he looked like back in July. He hasn't hosted any Clowns in a while since I got rid of the Maroon that used to host.

Okay that anemone needs treatment. I would suggest moving the entire rock to quarantine and trying daily water changes. If you can get medication then know that your live rock bacteria will die with antibiotics.

Unfortunately my 2 QT tanks are occupied right now and medicated with fish.

Is he a danger to the Coral in the tank? Right now it's going fallow following a Brookynella outbreak, so only coral and CUC in the DT.

If it dies then you will have an ammonia spike and the system can go cloudy. But with such a large system I think it will be fine.
