I added my BTA to my tank about two weeks ago and he wandered around a bit and ended up settling in a cave (I expected that) but. Now for the last 3/4 days he isn’t moving from this spot in the cave but opening up outside of it for 4/5 hours during light cycle and then just closes up and goes back into hiding. Is this normal do I just keep playing the waiting game? If he doesn’t like the spot why isn’t he moving to somewhere else?

How old is the tank? I see some aquarium decor in the tank, careful it is not adding anything to the tank, but it is totally normal - anemones will do strange things

It’s fake nem is only temporary until my BTA finds a spot out in the open then it’ll be taken out, both my clowns are hosting the fake nem right now so I want them to have the BTA available before taking it out since they will throw a huge fit lol how long does it usually take BTA to pick a spot out in the open?

Depends on tank conditions / BTA . I have some that have never moved and one that moves often. What lighting do you have?

I have two aqua star G5’s 95w, any tips or recommendations for light settings? I have them on a 1 hour low intensity blue light only ramp up in the morning and 10 hour daylight and then a 1 hour low blue light ramp down at the end of the day. I do have a par meter and where the nem is placed rn par is about 180

Lighting sounds perfect then , if anything maybe make it last only 8 hours , potentially the nem would like to “rest” more

I’ll reduce the daylight time by an hour to start and then go from there, thank you!!
