I purchased this BTA on Friday. It moved to this location yesterday. I came home from work and it has split. It's hard to see in the photo due to angle. What I don't understand is the size. The original one doesn't look any smaller. It looks twice as big. Saturday pic it is in the sand and then today's pic. My phone takes bad pics sorry.

It was from Petco. We don't really have saltwater stores here. I more or less meant it as a joke cause they won't take anything back or trade. I've had more than a couple fish from them not make it through quaranteen. I buy from them sometimes because the only other place is 5 times the cost and mostly freshwater and I hate the cost of overnight shipping.

Pretty common to split new to tank and new params.

Anemone's are mostly water, and expand or contract as needed for surface area to take in light, often will look pretty close to same size after a split.
