Look healthy to me. Sometimes they split. I wouldnt worry unless they start to look stressed.
Mine split a while back and they are doing great!

Do you feed it? That can make them split too....... or just their natural tendency for survival.

I have never feed mine, but it did split once anyway

Do not worry. Your BTA is fine.

They can split due to stress/enviormental changes, but they can also split for no reason at all. I find that mine split as a result of 3 things.

  • Stress
  • They reach an arbitrary size and want to split
  • Overfeeding
I find that when my nems get to about their max size, a split is bound to happen within a few months. They want to keep growing so they split.

How often are you feeding them? I find that if I offer too much food they can get upset and split as well.

There are BTA variants that split more than others, aside from environmental conditions that have already be noted.

I agree that yours looks good, so no need to worry.

About 6 months ago, one of my RBTAs split into 4 unequal size anemones. Just ripped itself apart.
No stress that I could ever figure out, and all 4 are still alive and growing.

Thanks for all your responses, I just panicked as it was one BTA and then all of a sudden it was two. I do feed about twice a week small amounts of mysis. They both seem to be ok.
Thanks again for everyone's input it's greatly appreciated

The takeover begins!
