So my skimmer was just put in yesterday and it started skimming a little but this morning I woke up and found the bubbles just bubbling half way up the neck and not reaching the cup. My water is new but it is very green. I was hoping the skimmer would clean up the green tint. Is the skimmer just breaking in? Please help. BTW I have live rock and sand.

You need to turn the long tube to adjust the water flow. With these the "max" is actually the minimum for US users. A skimmer won't help the water, although you should be using a skimmer anyway. You should probably get a UV sterilizer.

It's still staying In the middle of the Neck. Maybe it needs to break in

I have the same skimmer. How deep is the water the skimmer is sitting in? Mine is in 9.5 inches. Bubbles should be just to the top of the neck. Then put the collection cup on

my water is clear but very clean. Last night the skimmer was taking out the green stuff but then it stopped. So I hope that's a sign that it will clear up my tank
