Has anyone any experience with either Bubble King Deluxe 200 or 250 on a Red Sea Reefer 1000 G2?
Not sure if they will fit properly in the sump.

Thanks!!

Royal Exclusive Bubble King skimmers are head and shoulders above most brands and I suspect lot better quality vs. Red Sea skimmers.
I have the Bubble King Double Cone 130 in my Red Sea Reefer 250 and it is great.
My recommendation is to contact Royal Exclusive tell them about you system, display size, number and size of fish, do you use fleece etc…. and let them make recommendation. You don’t want to buy oversized Bubble King skimmer. Oversized Bubble King skimmer will skim inconsistent and you will be tweaking all the time. You want the right skimmer for your system and they definitely can help you.

I spoke with Scott who is the USA rep last night and made the decision to purchase the deluxe 200. This particular skimmer is rated for 150" of fish with room to spare. I have a 175 gallons total water volume but have a new tank on order that will come out to just under 400 gallons. I plan on adding a boatload more fish so thais is why I chose this skimmer.

" That said, even with a truly heavy fish load, I wouldn’t recommend anything larger then a 200 sized skimmer and a truly heavy fish load would be around 150 inches worth of fish between your main display and frag tank."

Really useful info!

I decided back in June and went for the DeLuxe 200 because I'm also running a ReefMat 1200 in this tank.
I'm a fish lover so my mixed reef tank has a LOT of fish!

Skimmer has been running now for 3 and a half months and I'm still playing with different settings.
I'm injecting ozone as well for a couple hours a day (2hr at night and 2hr in the afternoon).
