I have a a bubble magus curve 5 in good working order. The only issue with the skimmer is the screw holding the bubble plate to the top of the pump. The last couple threads are stripped. I applied some glue so it stays on there, it is also easy to remove when you need to. You could just get a new screw and it would be like new.

To clarify the screw holds the bubble plate to the to the bubble plate cylinder. Not the pump
