Building up a 20 long sump for a 40 gal. breeder. Never used either of these roller mats, but maybe someone has and could give some insight to which might be best. I am leaning towards the Bubble Magus since it appears to be better suited for the 40 gal. I am shooting to run 160 to 180 gal per hour through it.

Edit: Bubble Magus SMALL gen 2

First thing I would look at is the price of replacement rolls and availabilty of those items. I don't 'roll' in my tank so that's all you get, and a bump from me.

Also, a picture of the intended space for the hardware might provide additional helpful comments.

Both will fit, just have not made a definite decision. Bubble magus seems to be more tuned to the 40 gal, theiling is easier to hook up.

On a side note, made my own stand and its over 36 inch high by design. Plenty of room to work with either.
