Bubble Magus MiniQ: Is This Sound Normal?

Does my Bubble Magus MiniQ sound excessively loud? I've read and watched reviews that described this skimmer as nearly silent. Mine isn't crazy loud, but I can hear it from outside the room. It also sounds like the pump is not consistent. It makes kind of a "woosh woosh woosh" sound accompanied by more or less bubbles. I don't necessarily hear anything mechanical from the pump, but the water movement and bubbles are loud. I've disassembled, cleaned, reassembled, tried the skimmer at different heights, and even tried a different USB power supply. None of it made a difference.

I've reached out to Bubble Magus support but haven't received a reply. Figured I'd see what the community's experience is.

I have two, both are silent. Yours obviously is not. Until you hear from the company try taking it out and make sure the pump is seated properly..

Did you ever figure out what was causing the noise? Mine has the same issue.

try lower it or open up the air valve, the bubble should break higher up
