after a few months of happy living, my CSB has grown legs and began wandering outside its cozy home!

i woke up this morning to it very close to my pump again(literally two weeks ago it wandered straight into the wave maker and got a few tips cut up…healed within a few days to only start wandering again! this time i managed to catch it in time to turn the pumps off and now it’s doing it’s thing…

leave leave or put back in cup? or get a bigger holding cup/box?

Following this to see what folks recommend. “Walking” is the only reason I’m not more of a nem fan!

I got my first Anemone today to celebrate the tank's (almost) year birthday.
I think it's a normal RBTA but could optimistically be a Colorado Sunburst?.. Either way I'm very happy with it so far.
Here's a shot from the top down.

Another from the side.

Cheers.
Unfortunately, it's no a CSB. Just a regular rainbow. For comparison, this is my Colorado Sunburst

they will wander no matter what. i knew this coming into an expensive anemone. i got the cup holder optimistically so that i could isolate it but also enjoy the view… i’m kind of against an anemone box because of how every angle of it will get covered by coralline algae and you’ll only be able to see it from the top down. so i’ll keep putting it in the cup until i get fed up with it.

nonetheless, the CSB is by far my #1 favorite thing in the tank. i’ll have to take a updated DT picture

No problem, I was being optimistic based on the colouration of the main body!
Out of interest, what differentiates the CSB over regular RBTA's?

Extensive lineage, marbling of foot, distinct coloration.

One of my nems split early February and this little guys ended up on a Mexican Turbo Snail. He rode around for the last 20 days and never felt the need to settle. He looked a bit shriveled today so I decided to intervene and remove him from his transporter. I will miss the daily search from the "how far can an sail crawl with an anemone stuck to its back" game.
