I think that it depends on the colors- how many and how bright. You can get a dull one for $100 or an amazing, four-color one for $600+.

600 dollars? Well it's safe to say I'll never have one of these beauties then. Dang they are amazing looking.

I'm talking about the top-end ones. You can get a very nice rainbow for around $250 or so.

Here's a pic with more than a "small tweak". :) Really nice BTA. The orange/yellow transition from red-to-green is really nice.

Is the "tweaking" and photoshopping to show off the colors of what they look like in person becuase the camera is not capturing?

For me, no..
Just had too much time doing nothing..
All my post I have on the thread is modified ONLY in the size of the pic.
All the pics are taken under T5's, But man, you have to do a LOT of tweaking if you want to make it look like under LEDS. You just have to see it to believe it.
I always though, Ultra BTA's were overrated until I layed my eye on one of them!

I use photoshop to get rid of most of the blue (when I edit my own pics). I have never seen subdrive's BTA in person, so I kind of just went overboard on it. (Hope he doesn't mind).

Not at all!
I usually use 'underwater setting' on my canon P&S camera to get the blueness out.
Can't be bothered whitebalance and tweaking everytime I take a pic of my corals.

I can remember a long time ago that the "rainbow" color BTA's were not as desirable as the full red rose BTA's...guys use to say it wasn't a "true" rose BTA cause it had green and other colors in it...haha times have changed!
