Also it took a few years before they settled into those colors was not a fast change and they each went threw a dozen or more splits in that time

One question i am still trying to figure out is if i can mix different kind of bubble tips. It be awesome to have a Chicago, lemon drop, black widow and an Arizona all together. Thoughts on doing that? Also it took a few years before they settled into those colors was not a fast change and they each went threw a dozen or more splits in that time
That’s exactly what i would like! Different colors instead of all consistent color. Thanks again foe the feedback. It def be worth the gambleThey guy I know had several color variety in same tank and as I said they changed color over time he had a red with pink tips, a green with blue tips, and rainbow over time they all went kinda rainbow looking loosing some of there original color but gaining colors from the other ones wish I had a pic as it looked tie dye after a few years time
That’s good to know! Are they all different type of bubble tips or same kind?Hello, I have 2 tanks at the moment which are predominately bubble tips anemones.
it’s certainly doable, forfeit the idea of keeping corals if you go this route, it’s difficult as they will get stung. I have had luck keeping corals in the lower half.
Exposing them to different par levels will yield different colors, though it’s not always a pretty color, as seen in the second photo. The anemones furthest from the camera are exposed to the highest, with it getting lower the closer it gets the camera.
they are hardy animals that will survive under most reef conditions, but things must be pretty stable for them to really thrive in my experience.
I have green, rose, rainbow, Sherman, and some other type (maybe a candy corn?) all together in our 75. I run kessil A360WE's ramped up to 100 percent mid-day for like 4 hours they all seem fine growing and splitting, no chemical warfare but I dont have the super high end stuff. They get fed a little bit of krill once a week and catch the foods that the fish get fed daily. Your results may vary.... happy reefing
Here are some older shots...
Those 2 on top are a full 6 to 8 inches across when fully inflated
I am at 5 inches above the water surface on a 75 gallon. I have always kept my lights at 100 percent. I start the nems out in a bottom third of the tank and I let them roam the rock until they find a spot of light and flow they like.I like this. I have Kessil 360we as well. About the same anemone and bubble tip. How long did it take for you to get to 100% intensity ? Are you 6.5in above water.
They are all the same but I have others together in other tanks, as long as they are bubble tips, it does not matter, with that being said it may still be good to put them in different parts of the tank because one may split more often than the other in the future, if that makes sense. That’s good to know! Are they all different type of bubble tips or same kind?
My tank will be mainly bubble tips. The very bottom will be zoa if they don’t move down there of course and mushrooms in the sand
Wow 120 clonesI started with one bta and ended up with over 120 clones before my tank crashed after switching from MHs to leds. I didn’t have a par meter at the time. Basically the leds provided too much par. Switched back to MHs and then to T5. Tank is doing much better. Have about 20 clones left. Some are starting to split again. Originally the anemone looked like an rbta but then turned green.
i run MH, T5, and LEDs on my main tank.. I agree. Definitely recommend a PAR meter for LED tuning... first time i put my PAR meter in the water I realized my LEDs at half power were producing more PAR than my 250w MH... they also seem to penetrate the water more.. i was running my lights 12" off the water and the bottom of my 28" deep tank was still pushing 350PAR. I further de-tuned my LEDsI started with one bta and ended up with over 120 clones before my tank crashed after switching from MHs to leds. I didn’t have a par meter at the time.
