I purchased 1 bubble tip about a year ago and know I have around 22, not sure why they split so often they're in a 14 gallon Biocube with my 10 year old black clown. All I do to this tank is a 4 gallon water change every 2 weeks. Just wondering how many people have had this type of reproduction

Holy anemone batman! I've had one for a year and a half and it's split twice. Are you able to keep anything else in the tank coral wise, without the nem's stinging them? Both my splits have cause nothing but havoc!

I've seen it split 2-3 times a week, but on average about 3-4 a month. I've given several away and put some in my other tanks.

Holy cow?!?!?! I heard it could be stress related. Is anything wrong with the tank?

I am going to tell you those do not look right.
Look at the one in front it has really short tentacles.
The others look all scraggly, They have very few tentacles for the size of the oral disk.
I think someone hit it when they said stress related.

The original one never had actual bubble tips they have always been stringy. I have two in my 120 gallon with metal halides an both are small and bubbly.

That could be the case as I don't dose or even top off.

Sorry, been in the middle of moving into the new place, and haven't been online much.

If you don't top off, and only do water changes every 2 weeks, I am guessing that your salinity/SG is swinging quite a bit, which in turn is stressing them out and causing them to split --- in hopes of finding better conditions. Should look into an ATO, or at least manually topping off your tank.

Also, do you do your water changes with a lower SG? If not, since you aren't topping off, your SG will start to rise over time, which could be another issue too.
