Hi. New to having an anemone.. can anyone tell me if anything is wrong with it? Never seen it like this

It kinda looks unhappy, i have seen mine like that before, but i can't tell you why.

looks like the foot is severely damaged. Can you get a clear pics with whites on ?

Tank may not be suitable for the nem, but the nem also was not in good condition when you received it, completely bleached.

This is what it looked like yesterday. Peram are all normal in tank and the body is still nice and pink

I have never seen this before. But l found something on reef central: "For example, the anemone is internally damaged (very common) and attempts to egest damaged/rotting/necrotic tissue. Toward the end of its unfortunate life, it probably no longer has the energy to retract or the process has continued to a larger portion of the body, so it continues to egest more tissue."

watch it for some time. if it does not recover, i would suggest removing it because of its toxins.

I'm fairly certain that nem is either dead already or soon to be. Had it pulled itself together overnight and done this in cycles, there might have been a window to save. In this condition, I'm not optimistic at all.

gotta agree. you should get rid of it before it kills your tank with its toxins.

I think the BTA death/toxin fear is overblown. Many times a nem will just slowly shrivel up into almost nothing. Now, if a healthy nem gets chopped up by a pump or something, that's a different story.

Agree. I had one when I first started the tank that just shrieked up to nothing

even if it its still moving? I know i dot want to kill my fish.would peram of water be good with toxins?
