I have received other packages today, more interesting than the ones I received yesterday.
60 pounds of Marco dry rock,
my very first Neptune Apex,
and a Cor-20 return pump
Funny thing, the guy from Purolator who delivered the dry rock today, is the same guy who delivered the 60 pounds of sand yesterday, he said '' man, you get heavy boxes, what do you order, rocks???? ''
me: "yeah, that's exactly 60 pounds of rocks in that box."
His face was worth $1,000.

I really wanted to know the volume of the rocks.
when calculating the volume of water for all kinds of dosages, it's important to know the volume of water without the rocks to get the real volume of water in the system.
so I took the time to calculate the volume of these rocks by putting them in a graduated bucket with ro/di water so, 60 pounds of Marco dry rock occupy the equivalent of 11 liters or 3 gallons only.
it's amazing how porous and light these rocks are.
Very happy with this purchase. I had a hard time finding these here in Quebec, but it worth the effort.

tonight I started playing a little bit with the aquascape.
On the right I'm going to do a kind of overhang, I also have some other small flat rocks that I could put through the rocks to create places for frags.
Any suggestions?
I'm not sure about the branch?

Hey bud, I'm building out the 425 XL at the moment and I'm using the same return pump - I'm curious as to what your plans are with the plumbing.

I think your tank has very similar plumbing fixtures to mine (3/4" barbed for return). The COR-20 doesn't have a barbed fitting on it, so some level of plumbing is going to need to happen. What are your plans?

ok here his what my aquascape look like in the tank, i really like to get some feed back about this.

At the beginning I had thought of doing it a bit higher, but I voluntarily reduced it to make room for the corals to grow.

After playing with the rocks for several days, I came to this.

Aquascape looks nice!! I like the ove structure on the left side. Just be sure to plan your powerhead placement to get flow into there to clear up some detritus that may collect
