I am building a canopy for my reef tank to hide lighting and equipment. I am wondering what others have used to seal the canopy from moisture. I built one out of pine and placed it on tank and was planning on painting it just two days later. Unfortunately it warped within hours of me placing it on the tank before I ever painted it. Which is fine because I wanted to change a couple things about the design anyways. So what should I seal it with when I rebuild it? Keep in mind I am painting it so I need to seal it with something that can be applied over paint. Any other thoughts on the canopy are welcomed as well as this is the first one I am building. Thank you for the help!
