Building a tank

Has anyone here built their own glass tank? I would like to build a custom tank but I am wondering if its worth the cost and the work? If you have built your own tank where did you source the glass from and was it worth it in the end? What issues did you run into? What tips do you have?

I want to build a larger tank, about 150 gallons or more but I want it to be taller and not as long as the normal 150 gallon tanks. And before I start to design and plan anything I thought I would ask you guys to make sure I am not just wasting my time.
