So I’m fully cycled on my new bare bottom tank when I realized tiny chips of Marco Rock and other bits were all over the tank floor.

I bought the EHEIM Quick Vac Pro and it was way to weak to even suck up the tiniest of pebbles.

So I embarked on a little 30 minute DIY vacuum and couldn’t be happier. (Home Depot parts list is below if you’re looking for more suction in your life lol)

I must say, it works like an absolute champ!

Thanks!

Next I will modify it so that the vacuum so that it continuously returns the vacuumed water back into the sump so I can suck up the rock piece continuously while filtering out the pieces (instead of filling the bucket with water every 20 seconds).
