Bulb Question....

I have a current outer orbit pro fixture with 2x250W MH's, I initially went with Ushio 20K's but wanted bluer so I decided to try XM 20k's(which I'm running now), they are a little too purple for me, I was thinking of switching to megachrome 22k's and was just wondering if anyone is using them & if so how's the color & growth? I'm also open to suggestions as far as other "blue" bulbs.....thanks in advance.

I'm currently running xm 20k as well. I have a m58 ballast so my bulb choice is very limited. I've tried Helios and liked them but from what I heard the xm 20k have a higher par value on my ballast than the Helios. I would love to hear if anyone has tried the Elos bulb yet as well. I am also tagging along to see everyone's thoughts as well.

After doing more research I'm contemplating going back to the Ushio's because the PAR is so high, but was researching & saw the megachromes & was wondering if anyone is using them.....

i feel that ushios have gone down in quality as far as a 20k ....radiums run with 430 watt hqi ballasts my personal favorite and as far as im concerned the best quality, hamilton tech 14k and 20k. this is what i run on all my clients tanks as well as my prop. tank

The radiums are only mogul though right? How's the color on the hamilton 14K?

SO I think I'm going to try the megachrome 22k's, prob won't buy them for a few weeks yet but I'lll keep everyone updated.........
