The size is based on the size of your PVC piping. So if you have 1 1/2" pvc pipe on your overflow then that is the size bulkhead fitting you need.

Note that some tanks have schedule 80 bulkheads, which require a different size hole than a schedule 40.

Sch 80 is a grey plastic,

Sch 40 bulkhead fitting is black

Thanks, the old ones were the black ones that BRS labels as ABS.
