Ok so here are a few pics of my newest best frined....My Reef Tank!
Started off with a 90g Marineland corner flow (I may go Peninsula in the future) Ruby 36 sump, Most all Ultra-Flex PVC piping, Octo 150 Classic, 2x Kessil 160 Tuna Blues, Sicce 950gph Return pump, (can NOT praise this pump enough, Sooooo quiet and adjustable) Ehiem 250gph for the GFO/Carbon reactor, Finnex LED fuge light.
I decided, well my wife decided for me, to Cure/Cycle Dry rock in the DT/Sump. Was very pensive about this as, from what I've read, it's old school and not as good, safe as Curing the rock in containers.
Having said that, looks like I got lucky as everything is going so much more smoothly than I could ever have hoped for.
Start date of the tank was April Fools day....yeah, nearly delayed a day firing it up lol
Without droning on here....One thing I'm really amazed at is, when I ordered my CuC, they gave me a frag of a Flower pot coral (Goniopora sp), this guy has just taken off growing! Came totally flat, but the second day, it was in about 1" extension mode. Now a week later, it's moved down the sides of the square plug, and has 5 or 6 new polyps around the edges, will soon be attaching itself on the rock past the plug....this is Sooooo Cool.
Have 2 Baby Tank raised Percula and one TR ocellaris clownfish , 2 Skunk cleaners, 1 Lawnmower blenny, A paired Watchman gobi and a Randalli Pistol shrimp (Have not spotted either since day 1, bumms me out, but long as they are safe and happy...all good. ), A Massive carpet anemone, Pepermint shrimp and a silver dollar sized Purple BTA.
So here are a few pics from leak test to today. Thanx for viewing....Happy Reefing!

Woke up this morning and my pods EXPLODED! went from only a few in the refugium, to a completely covered DT. The 3 Clowns are picking them off the glass, but they are never gonna be able to keep up at this rate.
Any advice as to what livestock will take advantage, and keep them in check? (No mandarin, as much as I want one or more, I am too green for them yet)
Thanx in advance.
Also all params status quo, save for Alk it's went from 8.2 to >7 since yesterday O,0
I took the readings at 8pm last night = 8.2, todays were done at 11:30am.....am I just seeing a swing maybe?

I am SO on the fence here. My Carpet is just growing by leaps and bounds. I'm toying with the idea of slicing it at least in 2, would be optimal to 1/4 it. But I need to make up a QT for the skunk who owns the carpet for when the carpets would be healing. Question is, the tank is only 2months+ old, should I wait until it's much more mature to do a slicing of the anemone? Or would it be better off to QT all the anemones to allow them to heal in a fish free area?
If I were to go with the Anemones in the QT, should the QT have some age on it?
