Forgive me if this is a dumb question, but I’m having a day.

While feeding my scorpion I didn’t move the heat lamp far enough from the edge. Which then proceeded to melt the plastic/ rubber of the lip the lid slides into. This caused a burning plastic/rubber smell to then fill the room.

Just happens to be where my waterbox 90.3 I’m setting up is. As well as all my dry rock. That I had laid out to start scaping. Once I took care of how it was burning I then proceeded to cover up the rock. And bring down my air purifier.

Is it possible for the smell to affect the rock? Or am I ok since none the burning material touched the rock?

Am I just thinking the worst because of the day I’m having?

To be safe you can do a 20 percent water change and add carbon. I think you be ok though.

Believe it or not teflon pans = death very toxic and to birds I think. Anyway, think you be ok. I would run carbon though safe measure can't hurt.
