Buying a skimmer tomorrow - X-160 vs Regal 150SSS

I went to the LFS to order a Reef Octopus Regal 150SSS and they recommended the Eshopps X-160. In reading reviews, I like the included overflow cutout on the Regal. the five speed settings. The LFS suggests the Sicce pump on the X-160 is quieter than the Direct Current pump of the Regal and commented "no need to change speeds, turn on the skimmer full speed and let it run". The air silencers look the same.

I have the regal 150sss in my sump and I love it. I have had it for a year and half. It is solid and quiet. You will not be disappointed. Brs also has them on sale.

I vote Regal. I hear nothing but good things about. I ended up with a Deltec just because the Regal was slightly too large for my system.

Reef octopus over eshoppes 100% of the time every time.
I used allot of eshopps stuff over the years, and reef octopus and them are on two different levels
