Hello everyone, I am new to this hobby. I found a decent used tank it is a Aquatop 40 gal with stand for less than $500. My question is what should i used to clean the tank to kill all the bacterial or gem, so my live stock can live happy and health there.

You can wipe it down with bleach, then rinse it thoroughly with water multiple times afterward.

I have read people using vinegar as well, will it kill the bacterial too?

hmnn, I bought a brand new 40 breeder and stand 2 years ago it cost less than $500 ($500CAD = $355USD). So it doesn't sound like a good deal to me. Are you getting all the filtration equipment and lights along with it, or is it tank and stand only?

Picture of the tank you are getting? Also how old is the tank?

He mentioned it being an Aquatop which is an AIO. They actually retail for over $1000 which is common for 40 gallon cube AIO systems (IM 40G AIO Fusion Pro 2 is abut the same). I've seen better deals out there, but if they specifically want a 40G cube AIO those can be tough to come by used.

I recommend you see it with water in person and see the condition. Not doing this has led to more than one used tank leaking/not holding water for me.
